Filling up the hollows between stones of a bank:
When filling up hollows between stones above waterline, there is always a strong demand for a rapid greening. On the one hand, this task is fulfilled by planting this zone with cultures of e.g.
bulrushes - iris - calamus - reed – sedges,
on the other hand by building up a capillaries intercept between soil underwater and planting area to be created.
Using a high-speed mixer, topsoil-water-alginate are brought into a liquid consistency and filled into the hollows between the stones of a bank.
The mixture resulting from this procedure is to contain at least 1.5 tons of topsoil per m³. To ensure a rapid accreation and in order to strengthen the plant, an alginate quantity of 15 kg Bio-Algihum® per 1 m³ is added to the suspension.
The preparation has to be liquid to fill up the existing hollows between the stones of a bank up to a layer of 60 cm. Thus, there is a request of app. 250 l mixture of topsoil-water-alginate per 1 m² layer.
Referring to a layer of 70-100 cm, a quantity of 275-350 l mixture of topsoil-water-alginate per 1 m² is needed to fill up the hollows.
